The good thing is, I have tickets to see the Idol concert in Dallas this month. The bad thing is, I'm not really that excited about it. I don't know, the Idol format seems to be getting a bit stale for me. I love Nigel, but I'm hoping his exit will mean fresh ideas for Idol. I'm not holding my breath, however.

Good to see you again Leo! I never miss "The Idol Guy!"

Leo,

Sorry to hear about your parting with FoRT, but glad to find you continuing to write about AI (found you thru WNTS).

Looking forward to hearing more insight from you over the summer and during the next season. Your commentary has really helped me to win the last 2 seasons of the Prediction Game at FoRT.

[...] Anyone who’s watched the show and followed along with the Idol punditocracy knows that even Archuleta “winning” Tuesday night was no guarantee of him walking away with the title. Idol voters are not as dumb as some writers think; they’re quite capable of looking at the whole season up to date and considering how well both Davids did up to that point. By that standard, it was a very close match - as we said so before the finale! [...]
